Past Events
Summer 2025: Eco Art and living – ended
The community event is presented to support nonprofit causes. It includes environmental activities both indoor and outdoor to promote Green Together for everyday living, such as gardening talk with saving water resources, interactive park tour and hands on art making etc.
Free and open to all, the popular workshop is led by local artist in collaboration with Leftech4life nonprofit network. It’s made possible with the community funding program to enhance our green environment for more eco living and nature fun.
Autumn 2024: Living Together – ended
With the theme of Living Together, the community art exhibition is to celebrate local arts and culture through storytelling and multidisciplinary practices. From acrylic painting to mixed media, 4 series of artwork are displayed to explore nature beauty and vibrant cultures across our diverse communities:
– Life in seasons: a storytelling art of beautiful days through 4 seasons
– Sea to sky: a creative concept about blue harmony and coastal culture
– Green living: environmental art and design about eco parks and wildlife
– Love and hope: art making about a healthy and resilient community for all
Presented by Leftech4life nonprofit network, the free exhibit is organized in partnership with local host as part of community programs, cultural celebration and Green Together Initiatives. Open and accessible, we can all be inspired by Living Together to build and enjoy a healthy and green community.
September 2024: Harvest Culture and Celebration – ended
This is a community event with family-friendly activities open to all, including artist talk and art exhibit tour, colorful lantern making and moon cake traditions, photo op and giveaways etc. Free and fun, it’s held 2nd time on popular demand for annual harvest celebration and Mid-Autumn Festival in September. Again, community participants showed a strong interest to fill up the spots with a big waitlist.
Led and presented by a local artist and Leftech4life nonprofit network, the public workshop was made possible with local support and community partners, for the purposes of positive connections and wellbeing. Everyone is welcome to join together for interactive learning and sharing about cultural creativity and Green Together initiatives in a diverse and inclusive environment.
July 2024: Make Today Greener – ended
An environmental workshop took place in person with interactive activities to a group of summer camp students. It’s held in both indoor and outdoor spaces for hands on experience and educational purposes. With the theme of wildlife and biodiversity, the school-aged children participated in a series of interesting activities to discover and connect with local park and green nature, including nature walk, eco craft making, learning and exploring native plants, trees and animals.
The not for profit event was organized by Green Together network with local support and partners. Everyone is encouraged to live eco friendly to make today and everyday greener.
April 2024: Green together for Earth Day – ended
This is a community workshop and public event about environmental practices and climate action for our green home and everyday living. It opens to all ages and invites the participants to get together for learning and sharing eco friendly experience and tips while celebrating the annual Earth Day in April through interesting and interactive activities, which will be featured with a green talk and guided tour about digital tech and tools, green art making and fun photo with green screen digital, plus great prize draws and giveaways to take home and enjoy.
April is the annual Earth month to celebrate the environmental movement and achievements around the world. This year, the Earth Day falls on Monday April 22 with the theme of Planet vs Plastics, which calls to raise awareness on the health risk of plastics and promote a healthy planet for all. Let’s build our green community together and make our home greener and better.
December 2023: Energize Winter – ended
A community workshop was designed with not-for-profit purpose to encourage public participation and engagement about environmental topics and activities in a meaningful and interesting way.
It’s made possible with local support and sponsorship including public service and community organizations as well as business sponsors and partners. The fun filled programs include energy saving practices for green holidays, eco-friendly info and resources, safety and healthy tips to take away, plus winter solstice lantern making and holiday prizes to celebrate a great year-end season in December.
September 2023: Harvest Moon Cultural Workshop – ended
A community event was held in person with family-friendly activities open to all, people were required to RSVP for joining with limited space. Free and fun, it’s a successful event with a full registration plus a big waitlist.
The workshop was made possible with local support and sponsorship including public service and community organizations as well as business sponsors and partners. Led and hosted by a local artist and community members, it is not-for-profit with the purpose to bring people together for community connections and wellbeing in a positive and interactive way.
